emiter_franczak /audio video performance/

This audio   visual project Emiter_Ludomir Franczak is nothig more than developing of our earlier cooperation. We have worked tohether on a "Schron" performance and also on projects from Galeria Interdyscplinarna. Ludomir is the author of the "Sinus" binding graphic illustration. His idea of working with the picture is close to emiter's work with sounds material. Using commonly occured goods we work on sound and picture, we take the advantage of computer, but the most important is using simply equipment: discman, mini disc, joystick, camera, video camera and radio. The most crucial thing in all this creations is to make the possibility of cooperation between audio and video space.

Ludomir Franczak

An artist who work in many areas of art: theatre, performance, design, graphic, painting, space installation and video art. He uses his experience from so many areas and tries to find common language with the audience. It is planned that Franczak during emiter's concerts will be scanning the audience and the space around and transform the picture on live at the same time.

emiter.arszyn

 
The emiter.arszyn project consist of musicians explorers: Marcin Dymiter (guitar, generator, loops, electronics) and Krzysztof Topolski (drums, electronics). We work together from 2002 and record CD's reguraly. We also lead special teachers projects and create sounds installations. Moreover we make music for the silent films and cooperate with video artists. In spite of working together, each of us composes idividually: Krzysztof Topolski as Arszyn and Marcin Dymiter as Emiter. The emiter.arszyn project it is nothing more than electroacustic/electronical improvisations, explorations of traditional rock instruments and making its forms to be deconsctructive. The core of our activity is sound's fascination.

The emiter.arszyn project is a dense of bits and drones it is the intensity and concentration, the least but definitely not last are electronical molecules, noises and hums.Apart form that it includes: electronical preparations, groove-play by ear, computer's noises next to tuneful guitar – altogether it is situated end to end acustic's and electronic's tones searching. Each of our creation shows different face and various moment in time. In conclusion of 2005 the web portal Serpent.pl accolades our performance emiter.arszyn as one of the ten the most important CD's of the previous year.

arszyn (Krzysztof Topolski). A drummer, a sound artist. He cooperated and played with many musicians, bands and musicals projects: RogulusXSzwelas Project, Kobiety, Emiter, M.bunio.S., Mikołąj Trzaska, Tomasz Szwelnik, Muk, Beatrix von Shreader, Hoec, Dj Wojak, Thomas Lehn, Andrew Sharplay. He is one of the founder the People's Band and Industrious People Gdańsk (Pracowni Ludzie Gdańsk - PLG). Arsztyn is a Krzysztof Topolski's solo project, untill today have appeared the following records: "Z werszków pierwszy" (nefryt '02),"Unitas Multiplex" (tns rec.rxs/plg rec. '04) . "Plants fruits & flowers, Arszyn + Young Electroacoustisians" (CSW "Łaźnia".'05). He is interested in drums and electronics on line, also in music and alectroacustic improvisations. He creates computer's compositions and sounds instalations.

esden_emiter
voice_electronic duo

A project by Zosia Esden (loops, voice, laptop) and Marcin Dymiter (electronics, voice, guitar, generator, loops, tapes). It is yet another chapter of our collaboration – we have met co-working on a cd in a group Mordy in 2005. After searching a rehearsing in other squads/configurations we had met once again to work as a duet. A duet is a small, open form for our expression which allows us to create new quality for our sound. We believe that there are no borders in music, that it's a universal language. We're very much interested in different sound, our environment and experiment. Esden_Emiter is a project based on electronic/electroacoustic and vocal improvisations and interpretation of contemporary music: from chamber music, creative dj culture, ambient, song to free improvisation. Soon a piece of our project will be published on a compilation by Home Pop records. The full record is being prepared.

Zosia Esden

She founds inspiration in the sonar environment that surrounds her. She likes to experiment with her voice that is why she feels best exploring the fields of free jazz and contemporary improvised music. She is also familiar though, with a more classic understanding of vocal technique because that allows to build up proper vocal skills.
    So far she has worked with the following artists: Mordy, Ludhauza, Inside, dj 600V. In 2004, in France, she recorded her first demo cd with: Gerard Maimone, Manu Vallognes, Alain Chaleard, Jean Cohen. After coming back to Poland she gave concerts with a group she formed – NuTone.

Northern Lines
Daniel Odija_Emiter

The project Northern Lines: Daniel Odija_Emiter it's not only a combination of prose and music, but also a mental brotherhood. We come from the same town – Słupsk and we propose you sounds and words which help us to contemplate place of our birth. They also give us support in subdue the cruel power of time and to broaden the breathing space out. Due to them we could understand the rythm of our blood and its origin. The first CD, which is named "Northern Lines", includes cyclical songs and parts of prose from the latest Daniel Odija's novel "The comedy". The song has become the most vehicle for its own form and the nearest to the theme we have touched. Daily elements, changings and metaphysics,which are also very direct and personal are mixed together with sounds of never ending northern mantra – in conclusion they are far away from theatrical forms and an actor's interpretation. We are much closer to gospel and blues. Raw as the coastline – here we have "Northern Lines".

Daniel Odija_Emiter

Daniel Odija. The writer (born in 1974 in Słupsk) over seven years has been studied Polish language at University of Gdańsk. Nowadays he works as a journalist in Polish Television in Słupsk. His debut took place in 2001 and his novel "The street" (published by Czarne) was a great success and became very popular among readers and literature critics. In 2003 "Czarne" published "Tartak" – the second novel by Odija, which achieved prestigious position on the list of the best ninth prose books of the 2003 year. Decision about placing the book at such list was taking up by critics and readers from the literary critic's forum www.literatorium. It was also nominated for the Józef Mackiweicz's award – given by "Rzeczpospolita" Magazine. That book was also placed in the final of Nike's literary competition. From two years "Tartak" has been shown by the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Cracow. At present year "Tartak" is going to be published in Austria, Germany and France (by Gallimard). In future it will be translated in english, spanish, russian, ukrainian and croatian languages. The third book by Odija is a collection of stories "Szklana Huta" (2005). Currently he is working on the book "The comedy". Daniel Odija was a scholar of Culture Minister in 2004/2005. "Przekrój" Magazine in its report acknowledged him to be one of the country's young generation greatest writers.

Polish Improvisers Orchestra – miejsce spotkań polskich improwizatorów. Przestrzeń do wspólnej kreacji. Inicjatywa dążąca do zjednoczenia środowiska polskich artystów zajmujących się sztuką improwizowaną. W celu rozwoju, propagowania i prezentacji polskiej sztuki improwizowanej, tworzymy wirtualny zespól, w którym potencjalnie mogą uczestniczyć wszyscy, dla których metodą działania artystycznego jest improwizacja.
